Liked:
Very near to Cheuca, easy to find. Maybe the best days are over, but all in all a good budget place to stay.

Disliked:
As it is in the center, you'll have to accept some additional noise.

Disliked:
Could not sleep all night as some people were very loud in the Common Room.. When I went there to ask them to be a little quieter, I was answered back very rudely by a guy, who pointed out that I should choose an expensive hotel instead of a hostel if I wished peace and quiet. Would have appreciated presence of staff in that situation, as nobody was seen on the premises.

Liked:
Breakfast was nice and otherwise Red was an OK place to stay for a short period of time.

Disliked:
We spent 3 nights at Red´s and every night was a problem with shower water, first freezing cold and then burning hot. Noise get´s relatively high before midnight and it might bother if you are having an early morning.

Disliked:
I would not recommend this hostel based on cleanliness. I have stayed in lots of hostels throughout the world and this is by far the dirtiest place I have seen. There was hair and dirt all over the place (beds, floor, and bathroom).

The only good point for this hostel is that it has a perfect location and it is cheap.

Disliked:
The included breakfast, supposedly a "huge breakfast that has everything" doesn't exist; you have toasts, milk, coffee and one variety of tea.

I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere it just seemed so cool and easy going and the staff was awesome.

My only complaint would be the showers; they didn't have much water pressure which was kind of obnoxious.

I guess I had to expect to have adolescent girls laughing in the room next door until 1:30am, but if possible in future maybe try to put adults not with a teen group away from the teen groups as much as is practical.

The place was great value for money. The rooms and bathrooms very clean. Very cosy kitchen. Close to all the old town attractions. Staff went out of their way to help. You really can't expect anything more for the price. My only one improvement would be is to have top sheets provided as well in the dorm rooms.

Unfortunately we were only there for one night, but I can see that this is an excellent hostel. Good rooms, good beds, staff were very friendly, the location is perfect. I'd definitely recommend, and will stay here again when/if I come back to Madrid. My one suggestion would be to have thicker curtains in the room, as the light from the outside street lamps was pretty strong.

Just normal hostel. Good for its price. Place near with metro and central Madrid. Dont use taxi from hostel. It is 30 euro to airport - just get metro or bus. In fact good place for tired tourist sleeping.

Great hostel with a good location. The beds were nice. The room was a bit crammed, but that's expected. The staff was fairly helpful, although there was some confusion at times. Also, be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. Good for the price though!

this hostel was perfect for us. the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very nice and helpful, and you get to meet really nice people from all around the world with whom you can eat dinner and have fun. the location is also excellent for people who want to experience madrid's night life overall, i highly recommend this hostel

Great, safe, and central location. Nice looking hostel and popular with younger travelers (no oldies staying at this one!!). Will definitely choose this hostel again if I return to Madrid - I don't think you could do better, especially with the location!
